6 Form. Attention!

Homework for Tuesday, 05.03.19: learn the words; read and translate the text "Travelling by ship"; learn the rules how to use the Present Perfect Tense; write down different types of questions to the following sentences:

1. She has paid for the stamps.

2. The pupils have solved the problem.

PRESENT PERFECT TENSE

(Теперішній завершений час)

Означає, що дія щойно відбулася. Вона пов’язана з теперішнім часом і є результат виконання дії.

Маркери: already – вже, never – ніколи, ever –коли-небудь, just – щойно, not … yet – ще не.

Форма речення.	Третя особа однини: She, he, it has V ed/III form	Перша, друга особи однини та всі особи множини: I, we, you, they have V ed/III form
Ствердження.	He has played  football. She has written the letter.	I have written the letter. We have played  football.
Заперечення.	He has not played  football. She has not written the letter.	I have not written the letter. We have not played  football.
Питання.	Has he played  football? Has she written the letter?	Have I written the letter? Have we played  football?

Types of questions	Третя особа однини: She, he, it has V ed/III form	Перша, друга особи однини та всі особи множини: I, we, you, they have V ed/III form
1.Загальне питання (G.Q.):	Has she played  football?	Have we played  football?
2.Альтернативне питання (A. Q.):	Has she played  football or tennis?	Have we played  football or tennis?
3.Спеціальне питання (S. Q.):	Who has played  football? What has she done? What game has she played?	Who has played  football? What have we done? What game have we played?
4.Розділове питання (D. Q.):	She has played football, hasn’t she?	We have played  football, haven’t we?

 Travelling by ship

1. Thousands of people travel every day on business or for pleasure.

2. They can travel by air, by land or by water.

3. Of course, travelling by air is the fastest and the most convenient way, but it is the most expensive too.

4. Travelling by sea is popular mostly for pleasure trips.

5. On board large ships and small river boats people can visit foreign countries and different places of interest.

6. Trips on the Dnieper and the Black Sea are very popular nowadays.

7. To my mind, travelling by sea is comfortable and speedy.

8. Of course, modern liners are not the same as planes, but they go rather fast.

9. They are like floating cities with all modern conveniences and facilities.

10. The important thing is that big liners are rather safe.

11. No matter what the weather is like. Be it stormy or calm, you feel comfortable and safe on board.

12. Unfortunately some people have seasickness. By the way, it’s one of the drawbacks of travelling by sea.

13. People, who prefer this kind of travelling, get the opportunity to live in comfortable cabins, to swim and sunbathe on board, to use a wide choice of sport and entertainment facilities.

14. Passengers of liners don’t have to worry about meals. They are served regularly in restaurants.

15. In other words, travelling by sea can bring many pleasant moments only if you are not seasick.
