Bashtanka gymnasium was founded in 2002. It is a modern two-storeyed building which is situated not far from the centre of the town of Bashtanka. There are different specialized classrooms with all modern equipments: computers, slide projectors, necessary devices and facilities at the gymnasium. Chemistry and Physics classrooms have special laboratories well-equipped for different experiments and tests. The museum of Great Patriotic War and the museum devoted to O. Syzonenko contain unique materials and expositions for pupils and adults. Playgrounds and a modern swimming pool are also very popular among the pupils too.

Our gymnasium is available for all schoolchildren of Bashtanka district. It consists of 191 pupils and 21 teachers. There are 9 forms at the gymnasium. Every form is divided into two groups for learning such subjects as Ukrainian, Mathematics, English, Computer Studying and Labor Training. The motto of our studying is: “through creative work to mastering good knowledge of any subject at the gymnasium”. We also have a well-organized social and cultural life.

Our pupils are hard working, creative children. They are responsible for their studies, participation in different contests, seminars, competitions and sports tournaments. Many pupils are involved in research work. 
Bashtanka gymnasium is not only a small educational establishment, it is a great united and friendly family where each pupil is warmed by love and everyone is a little bright star.
