The role of television in our life

1. Television takes much time of our everyday life.
2. There are different ways to entertain youself: you can play football or collect coins and so on.
3. But if you are a couch potato – television is up to you.
4. Television extends our knowledge about the world we live in.
5. We may travel all over the world without leaving our chairs.
6. Television is so popular nowadays.
7. People in Ukraine have a large choice between various TV channels.
8. The most popular channels are 1+1 and INTER.
9. They keep people informed about current events, the latest events in science and culture.
10. As for me I always try to watch TSN-News, different talk shows and musical programmes.
11. A big part of the time on TV is occupied by soap operas, but I don’t like them.
12. I prefer action films.
13. Different quiz-shows are also very popular with viewers.
14. But there are things I don’t like on TV.
15. TV makers often produce a lot of programmes, TV shows, movies in which scenes of violence and crime are present.
16. I don’t think that we must be ignorant of some dark sides of our life, but I’d prefer not to watch such scenes too often.
17. But, in general, I think that TV is a very important thing in our modern life.
18. It has much more positive sides than negative ones.
