My favourite Ukrainian dish (Example 1)

1. My favourite food is borshch.

2. It is a traditional Ukrainian dish.

3. Borshch is very tasty and useful.

4. You may eat it hot or cold.

5. My mum’s borshch is the best borshch I’ve ever eaten.

6. To cook this dish we need: meat, beetroots, carrots, onions, potatoes, a head of cabbage, pepper, tomatoes, greens, salt and sour cream.

7. Borshch is especially delicious with sour cream.

8. It is served with dark bread or pampushky with garlic.

9. There are a lot of vitamins in borshch.

10. I like borshch most of all.

1. My favourite dish is dumplings (varenyky).

2. It is a traditional Ukrainian dish.

3. My mother cooks dumplings with curds, potatoes, cabbages and berries.

4. Dumplings with cherries are the most delicious dish for me.

5. They are sweet and juicy.

6. To cook them we need: flour, water, eggs, salt, sugar and cherries.

7. This dish is served with sour cream and honey.

8. When I visit my granny she always cooks dumplings with cherries.

9. I can eat them every day.

10. I enjoy Ukrainian food.
